PC Contract for Expansion of Fuel Gas (Methane) & Feedstock (Ethane) Pipeline, Stage 2, Jubail 2 KSA.

Brief Scope of Work:

Procurement, Supply, Installation, Testing, Pre-commissioning, Scraping, Performance Testing and Commissioning of Civil/ Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Communication, Instrumentation & Control system of a fully Integrated and Operational facility on a single point responsibility basis for Royal Commission Methane & Ethane gas Pipeline Project, Jubail.

DETAIL:

This is a procure and construct (PC) contract consisting of Fuel Gas (Methane) and Feedstock (Ethane) pipelines and scraping facilities to feed the industries of Jubail 2 Stages 2 and 3 and other associated work having the following details: The two existing 36 inch Methane pipelines will be extended by two 36 inch pipes to the new scraper receivers in east-west pipeline corridor (EW2) with the tie-in adjacent to industry 10 area. One 24 inch Methane pipeline running from the new 30 inch X 24 inch scraper launcher along the north-south pipeline corridor, then on east-west pipeline corridor and connect to the existing methane pipeline loop

• One 24 inch Methane jump over pipeline to connect the two (2) existing 36 inch Methane pipelines along the east-west pipeline corridor (EW2) to the new 24 inch Methane pipeline
• The two existing 36-inch Ethane pipelines will be extended by the 36-inch pipes to the new scraper receivers in east-west pipeline corridor (EW2) with the tie-in adjacent to industry 4 area.
• One 24-inch Ethane pipeline running from the new 30-inch X 24-inch scraper/ launcher along east-west pipeline corridor (EW2) up to Stage 3
• One 24-inch Ethane jump over pipeline to connect the two (2) existing 36-inch Ethane pipelines along east-west pipeline corridor (EW2) to the new 24-inch Ethane pipeline

The Scope of Work also includes procurement, supply, installation, testing, pre commissioning, scraping, performance testing and commissioning of the following as a fully integrated and operational facility:

• The complete instrumentation and control system Work for the new pipelines and scraping facilities including Distributed Control System, Emergency Shutdown System, Remote Terminal Units, leak detection system and all associated Work as shown in the Contract drawings or specified in the Contract documents.
• The complete civil/structural Work for the new pipelines and scraping facilities including precast concrete pipe sleepers, scarper foundations, expansion loops, cross access structures, intersection support structures, pipe bridges, pipe supports , platforms, pipe racks, electrical buildings, access roads, service roads, fencing with access gates, underpass culverts at road crossings, corridor site development and all associated Work as shown in the Contract drawings or specified in the Contract documents.
• The complete mechanical/piping Work for the new pipelines and scraping facility including piping, valves, fittings, electrical building HVAC, bi-directional scraper receivers/launchers, fire protection and all associated Work as shown in the Contract drawings or specified in the Contract documents
• The complete communications Work for the new pipelines and scraping. Facilities including outside plant (OSP) fiber optic required for process control system (PCS) connectivity and all associated Work as shown in the Contract drawings or specified in the Contract documents.
• The complete electrical Work for the new pipelines and scraping facilities including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power to the UPS, electrical buildings to house the electrical panels, as shown in the Contract drawings or specified in the Contract documents, as follows:
• Electrical Building # 10: Power supply shall be provided from transformer TR- EB10, which shall be connected to the existing SEC 34.5kV underground distribution system through the new 3-way 34.5kV vacuum interrupter switch VIS-28-2.
• Electrical Building #11: Power supply shall be provided from transformer TR- EB11, which shall be connected to the existing SEC 34.5kV underground distribution system through the new 3-way 34.5kV vacuum interrupter switch VIS-17A.
• Electrical Building #12: Power supply shall be provided from transformer TR- EB12, which shall be connected to the existing SEC 34.5kV underground distribution system through the new 3-way 34.5kV vacuum interrupter switch VIS -S30007A
